Member Spotlight: Emily Hartsuiker, DPT
Help us spotlight Emily Hartsuiker, DPT. She works in a Private Outpatient setting; she is the main Aquatic Therapist in the facility, seeing various geriatric and orthopedic patients, both on land and in the water. She has been a DPT for a total of five years in South Carolina and Tennessee. Emily loves the outdoors, spending time hiking, riding her bike, spending time with her family, and working in her garden. Emily was inspired to pursue a career as an Aquatic PT after one of her clinical rotations and watching her Clinical Instructor help her patients improve in their goals. Emily currently enjoys seeing people get relief from pain while in the water and seeing how grateful they are after treatments. She joined the APTA to support the profession, help promote and fund her favorite field of Therapy.
